Welcome!

The Chelmsford Methodist Circuit (a circuit is a group of Methodist churches that work together) covers an area of mid-Essex from Chelmsford in the west to Braintree and Halstead in the north, Coggeshall to the east and South Woodham Ferrers and Burnham-on-Crouch in the south.

If you would like to know more about us or the Christian faith, click the 'Contact Us' tab above.

If you are looking for a church in the area, the fifteen congregations in this circuit are organised on this site into three sections, according to local government boundaries. See the tabs for Chelmsford, Braintree and Maldon.

Whatever you are seeking here, we pray you will find the reality of God's love in Jesus in your life.

Mike Lewis, Superintendent Minister

“Supporting God’s people; sharing God’s love”

Our mission as the Chelmsford Circuit is to enable, support, challenge, encourage and inspire churches to fulfil God’s calling and share the good news of Jesus under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and in partnership with one another and the circuit.

We will do this through the provision of finance, leadership, training, preachers, ministers and worship leaders, guidance and bringing churches together.

Individual churches will live out God’s calling through caring, learning, evangelism, service, worship, preaching, training and prayer.
